These terms cover both halves of VesselView: the public pages, which anyone may read, and the signed-in area, which carries operational data and is limited to approved personnel.
VesselView is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any ferry operator, vessel owner, transport authority or other organisation. All official enquiries about ferry services should be directed to the operator directly.
Live operational data is available only to personnel whose email address is on the approved list, and only after an administrator has approved the account. Everything outside the signed-in area is built from published timetables and route listings.
Users of the authenticated area agree not to copy, screenshot, redistribute or publish the internal operational data shown there. This includes vessel positions, status, maintenance detail and anything exported from the fleet list.
Public information is taken from published timetables, route listings and openly available service notices. Accuracy is not guaranteed. Live operational data in the signed-in area comes from onboard equipment and public AIS, is subject to change without notice, and may be delayed or missing when that equipment is offline.
This service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of real-time accuracy, completeness or availability. It must not be relied on for navigation, for safety-critical decisions, or as a substitute for official sources. Always verify travel information with the operator before travelling.
No scraping, bulk downloading or automated access to the internal area. No attempt to reach data belonging to another account, or to circumvent the approval process.
Access may be suspended or revoked at any time, without notice and without needing to give a reason, including where an account is no longer held by someone at an authorised organisation.
